"Halos of Salt Spinning Above You" arrives on the coattails of Eyes On Lips' Collective's 2nd LP, "Vicious Cycles." This is a noise and noise-rock album, split into two unique sections.

The first part features John Ram's abrasive electronic approach to production, which is heavily influenced by Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire, and Pharmakon. This is his move toward darker ambient soundscapes that incorporate the rhythmic aspects of industrial noise music, while still being incredibly simple music.

The second part is a narrative exploring a battle between noise-rock and math-rock: the unintended, seemingly random arrangement of sound vs the painstaking rumination of complementary elements. As a compilation of Kyle Adams' more experimental work in Beach Goth Blues, this section complements and is complemented by the first half of the record because they ground each other in the punk-rock, post-punk, industrial tradition.
